The two hours start off with all-level teaching (aimed primarily at beginners), then move on to intermediate and advanced.
Teaching is in French, but every formation is walked through even if you don’t speak French - and many in the group will be happy to speak English.

What really happened on 21 October 1805? The memory of the legendary battle was shaped differently in Great Britain, France and Spain. Our guest speaker, Natacha ABRIAT, is a specialist in naval warfare and the Royal Navy, and seeks to bring French and British historiographical and heritage traditions into dialogue, comparing perspectives, sources and approches to public history.
She serves as a trustee of the Société Française d’Histoire Maritime, and as Trustee and Curator of The 1805 Club Virtual Museum. She recently gave a lecture at the House of Lords to mark the tercentenary of the birth of Richard Howe, Earl Howe, Admiral of the Fleet. Through the fascinating lens of the Battle of Trafalgar, Natacha ABRIAT will analyse how nations shape their historical narratives.
