FRATERNAL ASSOCIATIONS
Is there an English-speaking fraternal association, society or club not yet listed here, but catering to the British Community where you live in France? If so, we’d like to hear from them. Why not ask their Chairman or a committee member to contact the British Community Committee by e-mailing us on britishinfrance@gmail.com
British Freemasons in France
Freemasonry is a worldwide fraternal and charitable organisation. It seeks to teach morality and ethical standards of behaviour, and to encourage kindness in the community, honesty in business, and thoughtfulness for others.
Membership is open to all men regardless of race, colour or creed, on the condition that they believe in a supreme being and are of good character.
A regular Constitution recognized by the United Grand Lodge of England has existed in France since 1913, and includes several English-speaking Lodges, mainly in the Paris, Nice and Geneva regions, Lille, Brittany, Normandy, the Auvergne and Agen, Montauban and Narbonne in the South-West.
